Do I need a visa to go to Korea?
Do I involve a visa to go to Korea?
I have a Thai passport, I’m trying to find out if I need a visa to go to Korea. Some websites online says yes and some say no. My Korean friend who visited me in Thailand didn’t need to obtain a visa to come to Thailand, so I’m guessing I won’t need one since there is probably some diplomatic relationship between the two countries that don’t require visas for travel between the two.

Thailand citizens do not need a visa to enter the Republic of Korea – that is, South Korea.
The best time to visit Korea is October (autumn), when fiery trees dominate the landscape. If we want to see snow, visit Korea during late December-mid March.
For Thai (or Southeast Asian) citizens, it is better to join a tour guide. When I went to Korea last March (this year), I met a Thai trip in Gyeongbokgung Palace (the Korean Royal palace) and they were all obviously enjoying the trip.
I am from the Philippines, by the way, and we do need Visas for Korea except when going only to Jeju Island.
