You must have an earnings of not less than US$ 2,500.00 each month, whether from a monthly pension or monthly earnings from your job, “No money … No honey” is the norm nowadays. Just kidding…you need to be able to show 400,000 Baht a year or 40,000 Baht a month in income for a 1 year marriage visa.

Not difficult. Just meet the requirements.
400,000 baht in a Thai bank with copy of bank book and letter from bank proving it, or alternatively proof of sufficient monthly income
Copy of passport, marriage cert, map to home, statement from wife (which she completes at immigration office)
Photos of your wedding, your home, family members
Complete the application, pay the fee, submit the paperwork, come back a month later for your visa
There is no such thing as a marriage visa. You either have a tourist visa up to 90 days or a non immigrant visa (work, retirement, school or business) which is renewed every year.
My wife is Thai, I’m American and I have to get a tourist visa or a retirement visa to see her family in Thailand.
PS: they do a police check for non-immigrant visas
