Consular Services

If you are getting married then you will need to ask for a freedom to marry letter. This takes a day or two and you will need to have this certified and translated. You will need to take your passport with you. Once you have the no-impediment letter of freedom to marry letter you can follow the registration in Thailand process as set out on this website.

If you are registering a child then you will need to contact the Embassy and get the latest details for the process. Normally you will need the original Thai birth certificate, your passport and a visit to the Embassy with your child. Email them and ask for further assistance.

Passport services are also provided. If you lost your passport normally you will need to report this to the local police. This before you apply for a new passport. Normally the Embassies will want a police report for a lost passport.
